Whole Foods' Got Me Hooked... My New Favorite Smoothie

Just recently I went to a local fair where Whole Foods was one of the sponsors. To my wonderful surprise,
they were giving out complimentary green smoothies and of course, I was all over that. I mean, c'mon!
How can you say no to: free, healthy and delicious.

The smoothie was outstanding! I actually went back for seconds and thirds. It was a wonderful and explosive
combination of earthy flavors. I became obsessed with this drink and I needed to have the recipe. I had tasted
flavors of pineapple and ginger, but was excited to see that the smoothie also contained avocado (one of my
favorite food groups, lol).

Truth be told, I have this drink at least 3-4 times per week. I can't help myself. It's my new favorite thing and I
wanted to share it with you guys.

Drinker beware: this concoction is AMAZING!

Double Apple Green Smoothie

16 oz apple juice

2 handfuls fresh spinach

1 cup fresh or frozen pineapples

1/2 avocado

1/4 inch slice of fresh ginger

If you have any special smoothie recipes of your own, I invite you to share them us on the comments section below.
Live green and be happy.
Enjoy!

Stocking Up at MAGIC - I Wasn't Quite Ready for This

All images courtesy of Magic
The beginning of this week was a total whirlwind. I attended MAGIC in Las Vegas, the world's largest fashion
marketplace. It was my very first visit and as I had imagined, it was all together intimidating and mind-boggling.

In the past, I had been to what I thought were fairly sizable trade shows. Butt never in my right mind did I imagine
that a trade show could be this massive. There were multiple shows. There were shows within those shows. They ran
for multiple days. And they were spread out in 3 different locations. Yup!

It was a shit show, in the most positive and respectful way.

I thought two full days would be enough to explore, take in some seminars, and scope out all the vendors.
But that was a total joke! I didn't even get close to covering a small fraction of what I wanted to see. That's how ginormous
it was. But you don't have to tell me twice, my MAGIC training starts next week.

Luckily, I was able to take care of business (although it felt as if I had completed a 2-day sprint). And I stocked up on
some amazing pieces that I know you guys are going to absolutely love. I cannot wait to show them to you. So stay
tuned for the new summer and fall collection at LoveJoy. I promise you won't want to miss it. Sign-up to our

The Best Cinnamon Rolls on the Planet - A Visit to Knaus Berry Farm

So for the last couple of years I've been hearing so much about these famous rolls from Knaus Berry Farm. I hear
people obsessing over them constantly, and just recently I came across an article raving about this gooey
cinnamon goodness. So of course my obsessive compulsive desire for sweet buns led me to take a 45 minute drive
(no biggie) to this little place where cinnamon dreams are made of.

The farm and stand were more unassuming than I had imagined. I had been expecting a very busy place with
a large variety of fruits and vegetables, much like Robert is Here. But it was clear from early on that their focus
and specialty was in their bakery. My parents and I couldn't resist and each ended up getting a cinnamon roll,
plus a "just baked" loaf of grain bread and some cheese bread sticks. We walked to the back of the stand, sat
under a wooden canopy and ate our hearts away while looking at their beautiful farm. The rolls were by far the
best I had ever tasted. A perfect combination of sweetness and cinnamon. And the breads, well.... I just can't stop
thinking about them. Mmhhhmm, they were that good!

So if you're from the South Florida area, or you're visiting our beautiful city, you need to come and check out this
place which is located in Homestead. I can promise you, the rolls and their fresh baked goods are well worth the drive.

Stay tuned to our next post where we take a visit to Robert is Here...

From Head to Toe: Dressed in All Thrift

I'm no stranger to thrifting. I mean seriously, what's not to love. Is there anything better than the rush of finding
that one amazing piece that was made just for you (at least you've convinced yourself it is, lol). You wonder what
it'll be, but you know for sure it'll be a gem. At least to you it will, and that's all that matters. And best part of all,
you'll probably just pay pennies for it, but you know it'll make you feel like a million bucks.

Just recently I found this black and white little piece that didn't seem like much on the rack, but I fell absolutely in
love with it once I tried it on. My favorite thing about it is that the dress is incredibly comfortable, lose and flowy
which totally sealed the deal for me. The boots are also thrift. I've had these for a while and the more worn they
become, the more I love them.

So for now I'll leave you with some words of thrifting advice: don't dismiss a piece because you think it's doesn't look
good on the hanger or because you don't think you could match it with anything in your wardrobe, the beauty of
buying thrift is that you can do so much with it: pair it up, tear it up, match it up. The possibilities are endless.
You just need to get a little inspired.
