Tiki Themed Nights & Korean BBQ - This City Just Got Better

(Source: Zagat)

The guys from the Homecookin' Hospitality Group have done it again! This time they've given birth to - Drunken Dragon - a place
where entry seems like a right of passage. The undercover eatery, which can also be seen as a speakeasy due to its clandestine
nature, is one of its kind. The first Korean BBQ spot in Miami Beach. Although the spot just opened a few weeks ago,
the well-crafted cocktails, savory food, and seductive environment has already drawn me in three times. And I have no plans of stopping.

From the outside, you'll never notice there's any life behind those walls. You'll find dark tinted windows and no signage. Talk about deceiving! Once you walk through the doors, you're transported to another world. One that, well.......I'd describe it (because I'm dying to), but I'll do you the favor of experiencing it for yourself. It's just too good to spoil.

The tiki themed cocktails are exceptional but the food is absolutely heaven worthy. So far I've tried almost everything on their menu, which much of it is tapas style, and it's just unbelievable how much consistency there is in terms of taste. Most restaurants I've been to just have a couple of items on their menu that make them stand out and leave a lasting impression, but at Drunken Dragon, almost every single item on the menu is to-die-for. It's like Asian crack! My personal favorites and absolute must-have items are: the Crispy Bok Choy, the Pecking Bao, the Crack Spare Ribs, Skirt Steak BBQ and the D&D Fried Rice. But take your pick, you just can't go wrong!

So my recommendation is to sprint to Drunken Dragon if you still haven't been. Word is out, so make sure to call to make reservations. Keep in mind that the BBQ tables are limited. The first time I went, it was by reservation only (which we didn't have), and my third time around they had changed the policy to first come first serve, so we ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a BBQ table. Not too bad since we were warming up for the feast, at the bar.

Drunken Dragon is located at 1424 Alton Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139. Would love to hear your thoughts once you visit - favorite items on the menu, favorite cocktail, and most importantly I'd love to hear about your reaction. Now go!
