NYC & Paris Vacation - Part I

Just last week I got back from a wonderful two week vacation with my boyfriend Mark. We started our vacation in 
New York visiting our families and then straight to Paris (for my very first time). I owe it all to Mark for taking the lead 
with the plans and making this one of the most memorable vacations ever. 

In New York I didn't do much but eat, do a little thrifting at Beacon's Closet and relax (ain't complaining about that), 
but I also got to do one of my favorite things in the world... spend time with my family. One of the nights, I got a few 
family members and friends together to hit up one of my favorite spots in the city - Bann - hands down the most delicious 
Korean BBQ joint. Well, it's not actually a joint, more along the lines of a trendy modern cookery in Midtown Manhattan, 
but you get the point. The place is like heaven for anyone that likes....ummm....food! The restaurant has a sharing concept, 
but you can always choose to get your own dishes. Some of the must-have items are (trust me on this):

STARTERS:

BO SSAM BUN - roast pork belly, spicy daikon & sweet soy reduction on steamed flour buns 

CHAM CHI HWE - ahi tuna sashimi with a citrus, soy and Chili marinade over sliced asian pear

DAE JI JIM - baby pork ribs slow roasted in a tangy soy & chili barbecue sauce

NOODLES:

BANN GOOKSU - soy and sesame stir fried noodles with assorted vegetables

KOREAN BBQ:

BUL GO GI - thinly sliced rib eye over an open fire 

So if in  NYC, make a stop at BANN at 350 W 50th St, New York, NY 10019. So worth it!
