okay... now get your mind out of the gutter - it's not exactly what
you're thinking, although I like where your head is at. What I really
want to talk about today is as important though. With the summer season
quickly approaching, I thought it would be a perfect time to share with
you some of the best and
safest sunscreen products on the market.
of us love the sun; we love the way the warmth makes us
feel when it touches our skin. But our love affair isn't a two way street, as excess sun exposure has been scientifically proven to be harmful to us. It
can cause wrinkles, age spots and more seriously, skin cancer. And most
know the importance of sun protection, hence the reason we use sunscreen. But how many of us really know the potential risks of using sunscreen? Although sunscreen is usually the most obvious form of sun protection, using certain types of suncreens can come at a
cost. Many of the sunscreen brands we use tend to be
saturated with chemicals that may do your body more harm than good. For
this reason, I pulled together a list of my top six and safest suncreens. I pulled the list from the EWG
(Environmental Working Group) website. The EWG is a very respected American environmental organization that
specializes in research and advocacy to protect public health and
environment. I'm all about that! They came out with a 2014 guide of the best sunscreens which you can check out here. As for my list below, I've made sure to only list my top six based on
level of protection, safety, affordability and top ratings:
1. MDSolarSciences Mineral Creme Sunscreen, SPF 50.
It has an overall score of 1 which indicates very low health concerns and it offers Excellent UVA protection.
