Who said you have to be a vegan or have a gluten intolerance to enjoy Vegan Gluten-Free food?!? Well, I'm not a vegan per se but I have come to LOVE and appreciate the earthy delicious taste and life-altering benefits of vegan food. Who would have thought that I could ever live without meat or dairy? Not I, not a chance, not ever.
But in the last two years, thanks to some beautiful friends of mine and my deep genuine desire to heal myself (from my Lupus condition), I've become inclined to learn more about the reasons behind the choices they made to become vegan, and in some of their cases, gluten-free. I've become intrigued and fascinated by what I've learned, much with regard to the inhumanity and cruelty that animals and humans have to endure in order to satisfy this misconceived notion - that we need meat and dairy in order to live healthy, well-balanced lives. In addition to this, I've been shaken to my core with the enormity of information regarding the benefits of eating a plant-based, gluten-free diet and alternatively, the damaging effects of eating meat and dairy, at least for many of us.
Although I'm still somewhat of a novice and have much to learn, I feel strongly about spreading the message that the right foods can heal us and along the way, make our world a sweeter place to live. And like I said before, although I'm not a vegan, I do eat a mostly vegan, plant-based diet; I do it because it's a gift I want to give to myself, mostly because I've experienced firsthand the amazing and wonderful effects it's had on my life, my health, my skin and my energy level. So YAAAAYYY to this beautiful, underrated movement. And so I wanted to share with you all some delicious vegan, gluten-free recipes which I've found online and that could turn your world upside down like it did mine.
