Obsession with Mini Gardens

I love gardens! In fact, I'm enamored with them! I had one of my own before I sold my apartment, which I put together with some help. I had purchased pieces of wood and stained them, purchased nails, dirt and veggie plants at my local home depot and it turned out absolutely amazing. I also purchased and used cinder blocks to decorate the sides of my planter, covered or closed off the ends of one side of the blocks and left the other openings to plant more vegetables. I had planted Cilantro, Mint, Basil, Tomatoes, Lettuce and Spinach. I was eating on a regular basis from my own garden. It was beautiful and so fulfilling. So, I wanted to write a post on this as I've been contemplating the idea of starting another one, perhaps a smaller one with a bit less maintenance. Here are just a couple of the ideas I gathered from my search. What do you think? Do you love gardens? Have one of your own? Talk to me and feel free to send me your suggestions or comments.

  1. I love home gardens. I was thinking about making a "balcony garden" system. One that is able to grab rain and create a natural irrigation system. I thought it would be amazing!
