4th of July/Birthday Weekend + Some NY Trip Stragglers

Post yoga relaxation time

Incredible, we found this little picnic area in the middle of the bay, in a tucked away mangrove area. So close, and yet so far away from everything busy and artificial. So blissful...

Low-key birthday dinner with Mom, Dad and my friend Jason.

Ahhh...more good times with friends

My make heart smile. i love u.

Okay, so I'm still playing catch-up with my posts, but it's getting done. Here's a short post on 4th of July/birthday week (not including my birthday celebration, which just happened this week, so stay tuned for that post) and some straggler pictures from our family trip to NY.

Today has been somewhat of a lazy day. I'm completely exhausted from a weekend of volleyball and birthday celebrations, but most of all feeling melancholic because my parents are going back home to the Dominican Republic. They've been staying with me for a month and I always get so used to them being here. They make me laugh, love, care unlike anyone else. Once in a  while they drive me a bit crazy, but I rather have that a million times over, if it means being able to feel their love, hear their voices, their laughter, their advice and have them close to me. They're my everything! Anyway, hope you enjoyed the short read and hope you have a great week!

It's been a little while since my last post, but for good reason. I've been working on the relaunch of my business and revamping my online store. I've been so exhausted, yet so excited about this; it's been a dream of mine for so long. While I was in NY, I ended up finding the new name of my business, thanks to my brother and sister-in-law. I fell in love with it from the moment it rolled out of my sister's mouth. The new name is LoveJoy Vintage. It's a work in progress but I would love to hear what you guys think about the new name.

In any case, I wanted to share some more pictures from my family reunion in NY. It was such an amazing and memorable trip. I feel so lucky and blessed to be able to spend some precious moments with my family, especially since they all live away. They bring so much happiness to my life. Between the unrestrained laughter, delicious grub and fun-filled energy, I was beyond elated. I can't wait for the next family reunion!
